Angles Math Project

This document provides information about angles. It defines an angle as having two rays that form a degree of turn which is measured in degrees. It then lists and describes the main types of angles: acute, right, obtuse, straight, and reflex. Instructions are given for how to draw an angle using a protractor by placing the pencil at the bottom line and reading the degrees from the top numbers. Links are included to interactive online resources about angles. Key vocabulary is defined, such as congruent, parallel lines, perpendicular lines, and protractor.

What is an
angle? 1 An angle has 2 rays which forms a
degree of turn, which is measured
in degrees.

2 They are 2 dimensional and

they can be classified into
various types
1 Acute angle: Its less than 90 degrees.

2 Right angle: Its sharp 90 degrees

Types of angles
3 Obtuse angle: Greater than 90 less than
180 degrees.

4 Straight angle: Its sharp 180 degrees.

5 Reflex angle: Greater than 180 less than

360 degrees
How to draw We need a tool to draw angles
that is a Protractor
an angle?
When drawing angles first you
have to need to keep the pencil
at the bottom line marked by
the red arrow. The numbers that
are written in the top, marked
by the dark blue arrow, It
mentions the degrees and this
is the same procedure to
measure an angle.

Vocabulary! Note: A triangle has 180 degrees
1. Congruent: The same shape and size.
2. Parallel lines: 2 lines that are equal distance
3. Perpendicular lines: Two lines that intersect and form a
right angle (90 degrees)
4. Protractor: A tool to measure angles.
