ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
The success and the final outcome of this project required
a lot of guidance and assistance from many people and I
am extremely fortunate to have these people there to
help and guide me to the point of completion of this
wonderful project.
I therefore want to thank my class teacher Mrs. Vandana
Sha ma’am for providing me an opportunity to do the
project work and giving me the support and guidance
needed through virtual classes and personal chats, helping
me to conclude this project.

2. Plantation of Trees
• Buy products made from recycled material. Look for the recycling
symbol or ask store managers or salesmen.
• Check collection centers and curbside pickup services to see what they
accept, and begin collecting those materials. These can include metal
cans, newspapers, paper products, glass, plastics and oil.
• Consider purchasing recycled materials at work when purchasing
material for office supply, office equipment or manufacturing.
• Use recycled paper for letterhead, copier paper and newsletters
Reuse
It makes economic and environmental sense to reuse products.
Sometimes it takes creativity:
• Reuse products for the same purpose. Save paper and plastic
bags, and repair broken appliances, furniture and toys.
• Reuse products in different ways. Use a coffee can to pack a
lunch; use plastic microwave dinner trays as picnic dishes.
• Sell old clothes, appliances, toys, and furniture in garage sales or
ads, or donate them to charities.
• Use reseal able containers rather than plastic wrap.
• Use a ceramic coffee mug instead of paper cups.
• Recycle plastic, for example:- make pots of plastic bottles, etc.
Respect
Respecting Earth could make the mind set of the generation respect it
even further for a longer period of time if they see their elders do it:
• Show your child where the food comes from; young children do not
always make the connection between what they find in the grocery
store and what occurs in nature.
• Grow plants from seeds; The process of clearing a space in a garden or
planting seeds in small pots is both fun and educational for children.
• Minimize waste; Whenever possible, be cognizant of the amount of
waste you create as a family and remind your children to focus on
reusing items
There was a plastic So I tried to recycle it In the end I added dirt
water bottle which was and make it into a pot into it and planted in it.
gonna be wasted
Plantation of trees
In this activity I planted a new plant on a recycled plastic
water bottle which helps the world in afforestation and
trees provide many benefits to us, every day:
• They offer cooling shade,
• Block cold winter winds,
• Attract birds and wildlife,
• Purify our air,
• Prevent soil erosion,
• Clean our water,
• And add grace and beauty to our homes and
communities.
2. Then I planted with it 4. In the end I added
a neem sapling water and left it to
grow
• Point Sources:
Those sources which can be identified at a single location are known as
point sources. For instance, the flow of water pollutants through regular
channels like sewage systems, industrial effluents etc. infiltration of
industrial effluents, municipal sewage etc. contaminate the ground water
and cause water pollution.
• Diffused Sources:
Those sources whose location can't be easily identified are called
diffused sources. In this case, the pollutants scattered on the
ground ultimately reach the water sources and cause water
pollution, for i-instance, agriculture (pesticides, fertilisers), mining,
construction etc.
Ways to treat Water Pollution
• Point Sources:
The water pollution caused by point sources can be
minimised if all domestic sewage, industrial effluents, cattle
field and livestock wastewater etc. are all centrally collected,
treated upto requisite acceptable level and reused for
different beneficial purposes.
• Diffused Sources:
The water pollution caused by diffused sources like
agriculture can be controlled by changing the cropping
patterns, tillage particles and advanced farm management
practices which do not contaminate the water bodies.
