What Are The Three Types of Pictorial Drawings

The document discusses different types of pictorial drawings including perspective drawings, isometric drawings, and oblique drawings. It provides details on one point, two point, and three point perspective. Additionally, it mentions types of oblique drawings and orthographic projection, which represents 3D objects using three 2D views. The last part instructs readers to draw the three orthographic views of an isometric block as seatwork.

TYPES OF PICTORIAL

DRAWINGS
ORTHOGRAPHICS VIEWS
THREE TYPES OF PICTORIAL DRAWINGS.

• Perspective drawings -The art of drawing solid objects on a two-dimensional surface so

as to give the right impression of their height, width, depth, and position in relation to
each other when viewed from a particular point.
• Isometric drawing - also called isometric projection, method of graphic representation of
three-dimensional objects.
• Oblique drawings - an oblique projection is a parallel projection in which the lines of
sight are not perpendicular to the projection plane.
TYPES OF PERSPECTIVE

• One point perspective - is a drawing method that shows how things appear to get smaller as
they get further away, converging towards a single 'vanishing point' on the horizon line.
• Two point perspective - linear perspective in which parallel lines along the width and depth
of an object are represented as meeting at two separate points on the horizon that are 90
degrees apart as measured from the common intersection of the lines of projection.
• Three point perspective - is a form of linear perspective that utilizes three vanishing points
in which forms utilize each of the 3 vanishing points to convey the illusion of depth on a
two-dimensional surface.

ORTHOGRAPHIC PROJECTION

• orthographic projection is the method of representing three-dimensional objects,

usually by three two-dimensional drawings in each of which the object is viewed along
parallel lines that are perpendicular to the plane of the drawing.
