PERSONALITY

◦ Personality is one of the major psychological factors


affecting the human behaviour.it is very commonly
used word.It is used both in internally n externally
term.It depends on our narrow n broad thinking which
aspect we are taking for personality.
MEANING

◦ This term PERSONALITY has been derived from the latin word persona
which means a ‘mask’.This mask is used by actors in ancient Greece and
Rome.Therefore a very common meaning of the term personality is the role
which the person (actor) display to the public.

◦ G.W.ALLPORT……”A person,s pattern of


habbits,attitudes,and traits which
determines his adjustment to his
environment”.
◦ GORDON ALLPORT,…….”Personality is the

dynamic organization within the


individual of those psychological
systems that determine his unique
adjustment to his environment”.

means how a person affects others and
how he understands and views himself as
well as the pattern of inner and outer
measurable trits and the person-situation
