COURSE DESCRIPTION
•This course aims to develop amongst students a mature understanding and
personal integration of Christian, Ignatian and Islamic spirituality. Moreover, this
course is intended to deepen the student’s understanding about the centrality of
Jesus Christ and His Church, as well as the Prophet Mohammad [PBUH] and
Islam geared towards a dialogical praxis, awareness and engagement in the context
of a theological, pastoral, and spiritual conversation and action. Further, it is
designed to develop among students the Ignatian leadership skills as they engage
in the promotion of stewardship, justice, peace, and the integrity of all creation
rooted in the Christian and Islamic faith in Ignatian traditions.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
• To fulfill these aims, the course employs the mixed e-
learning approach. The students are given the opportunities
to engage in asynchronous learning sessions through AdZU
e-class/email/messenger/learning packets, and an interactive
discussion during synchronous sessions. More specifically,
the students are expected to come up with reflection papers
and a social media advocacy material to demonstrate their
appreciation of their role as stewards as they co-exist with
God’s creation.

• Deepen understanding of one’s faith grounded on the Holy
Scriptures and Church’s magisterium.
• Understand the concepts of justice, peace and integrity of creation.

•Initiate programs and activities on environmental advocacy and in
the promotion of justice, peace and integrity of creation.
•Analyze and integrate Church’s teachings on justice, peace, and
integrity of creation by applying them in their day-to-day life
experiences.
•Demonstrate critical reflection geared towards the promotion of the
culture of peace (COP).

•Upon completion of this course, the students will have:
•Demonstrated a deeper understanding of one’s faith grounded in the
Holy Scriptures and Church’s magisterium by exhibiting critical
thinking in their reflection paper/s using Ignatian Pedagogical
Paradigm (IPP), and
•Integrated spiritual growth and commitment to justice, peace and
integrity of creation by producing social advocacy campaign
through a video.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS
The following requirements are expected from the students:
Read and submit Learning Contract
To actively participate during class discussions.
Read materials and submit performance task.
Attendance during the convergence.
Accomplish and submit Integrations/Worksheets, Reflection paper/ Social
advocacy video
Actively participate during discussion, reflection and sharing.
Check e-class regularly.

For a three unit course you are allowed to have 7
hours of absences which is equivalent to 5 meetings.
You need to present an excuse letter signed by the
OSA and clinic personnel if you are sick.

this violation is SUSPENSION.

•CHEATING is a serious offense. It is a violation
of AdZU Handbook Section D.1.1. The sanction
for this violation is 2 week SUSPENSION.
