program is designed to provide individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in the field of networking and information technology.
• . Mission and Goals: The primary mission of Cisco Networking Academy is to provide high-quality, accessible IT education to individuals worldwide. Its
goals include addressing the global IT skills gap, promoting technology innovation, and creating a diverse and skilled workforce.
• Curriculum: Cisco Networking Academy offers a wide range of courses and curriculum that cover various aspects of networking and IT, including:
• - Networking Basics: Introductory courses covering fundamental networking concepts.
• - Routing and Switching: Advanced courses on routing, switching, and network design.
• - Security: Courses focused on network security and cybersecurity.
• Certifications: Cisco Networking Academy prepares students for various industry-recognized certifications, such as Cisco's CCNA (Cisco Certified Network
Associate) and CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional). These certifications are highly valued in the IT industry and can enhance job prospects.
• Career Opportunities: Completing courses through Cisco Networking Academy can lead to various career opportunities in network administration,
cybersecurity, cloud computing, and other IT-related fields.
TECHNOLOGIES LEARNT
• Networking Fundamentals:
• Understanding the purpose and function of networks.
• Identifying different types of networks (LAN, WAN, MAN).
• Describing the OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) and TCP/IP models.
• TCP/IP and Internet Layer:
• Understanding the TCP/IP protocol suite.
• Exploring IP addressing (IPv4 and IPv6).
• Subnetting and designing IP addressing schemes.
• Performing basic subnetting calculations.
• Routing and Switching:
• Exploring the purpose and operation of routers and switches.
• Configuring and managing routers and switches.
• Understanding routing protocols (e.g., RIP, OSPF).
TECHNOLOGIES LEARNT
• Network Services and Protocols:
• Exploring common network services like DNS (Domain Name System) and DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol).
• Learning about transport layer protocols (TCP and UDP).
• Understanding application layer protocols (HTTP, FTP, SMTP, etc.).
• Network Security:
• Identifying common security threats and vulnerabilities.
• Basic security practices, such as access control lists (ACLs).
• Securing network devices and data.
• Wireless Networking:
• Understanding wireless network technologies.
• Configuring and securing wireless networks.
TECHNOLOGIES LEARNT
• Network Management and Troubleshooting:
• Network monitoring and management tools.
• Troubleshooting network issues.
• Best practices for maintaining a network.
• Network Design and Documentation:
• Network design principles and methodologies.
• Documenting network topologies and configurations.
• Hands-On Labs: Practical labs and exercises are a crucial part of the module, allowing students to apply the theoretical knowledge they've gained.
EXTRA LEARNING FROM TRAINING
• Practice Labs: Seek out additional practice labs and exercises related to the topics covered in the course. Practical hands-on experience is
crucial for reinforcing your understanding of networking concepts and configurations.
• Simulators and Emulators: Explore network simulation and emulation tools, such as Cisco Packet Tracer. These tools allow you to create
and experiment with virtual network environments, helping you gain more practical experience.
• Certification Guides: Explore study guides and textbooks designed to prepare you for the CCNA certification exam. These resources often
provide additional explanations and practice questions.
• YouTube Tutorials: There are many YouTube channels dedicated to networking and CCNA topics. Watching video tutorials can help
reinforce your understanding of complex concepts.
• Mentorship: provide guidance, answer questions, and share practical insights from their own experiences in the field.
• Certification Practice Exams: Use practice exams and mock tests to assess your readiness for the CCNA certification exam. These exams can
help you identify areas where you need further study.
WHAT WE LEARNT
• We learnt to make topologies using packet tracer and various commands to make the network .
• We have learnt to make appropriate connections and about various network connecting devices .
WHAT WE DID?
• We learnt about static and default routing .
• We learnt the addressing scheme .
• We learnt securing the routes by enabling passwords .
•
CONCLUSION
• CCNA training has made me learn 21st century skills such as complex problem solving and critical
thinking.
• To conclude one can say that CCNA training was really beneficial for me and making reports for such
a great training is not being written just for the sake of writing. I am crisply stating the main take away
points from my work. I feel that CCNA Security Course helps to meet the growing demand for
network security skills. It provides a blended curriculum which provides a hands-on and career
oriented introduction to come security concepts. The course is highly beneficial, as I feel; it helps
students differentiate themselves in the marketplace. Develop students for network security career
opportunities. It enhances specialized security skills.
