English CH 15

Oz refuses to see Dorothy and her friends at first, but Dorothy threatens him. Oz admits he is a phony humbug wizard who uses a ball of fire and green glasses to deceive people. He explains how he ended up in the Land of Oz by being carried there in a hot air balloon. Oz acquired his kingdom by convincing the people he was powerful and should be obeyed. Though he promises Dorothy's friends he will grant their requests, he is fearful his deception will be exposed. The presentation ends by asking for opinions on whether Oz will actually fulfill his promises.
