INTRODUCTION
Origin of Yoga
YOGA essentially originated in the
subcontinent of India. It has been
around since ancient times and was
performed by yogis. The term yoga
has been derived from a Sanskrit
word which translates to basically
union and discipline.
In the earlier days, the
followers of Hinduism,
Buddhism and
Jainism practiced it. Slowly, it
found its way in Western countries.
Ever since people from all over the
world perform yoga to relax their
minds and keep their bodies fit.
OBJECTIVE
Yoga education can supplement school
and university education. It can prepare
the students physically and mentally for
the integration of their physical, mental
and spiritual faculties so that the
students can become healthier, saner
and more integrated members of the
society and of the nation.
Yoga education could help to equip
oneself with basic knowledge
about one’s personality, to learn to
handle oneself well in all life
situations, to learn techniques of
gaining good health, to develop a
discriminative mind capable of
knowing the real from the unreal
and to face the dualities of life with
equanimity.
METHADOLOGY
Yoga an ancient discipline in India; beyond yoga
asana, pranayama, philosophy, meditation,
pranayama, there is a lot more for students to learn
about it.
It is stepping stone for your teaching career

A good teaching methodology is learned by


teaching a class, and students must have a firm grip
on every principle, procedures, and practices
involved in teaching classes. When a practitioner
successfully graduates, they learn all the necessary.
The very first step of becoming a good
teacher is to successfully observe other
yoga teachers and learn what you should
apply or not in your class if you will teach in
the future. While your yoga teacher training,
you will get a chance to assist students with
their alignments, props, modification,
and physical aspect. This will help you to
gain experience. But one should be aware
of this fact one cannot control who is in
their class and how your students are
behaving in your class.
Avoid words like modification and stretch

Most of the students, if you use


word modification of any yoga pose;
students take it as a challenge and overexert
themselves. This can lead them to overexert
themselves and cause injury to themselves as
for some yoga students when you use words
modification or stretching; they think that
what they were doing till now was like kids
walk.Like this, instead of words stretch, use
words relax that will help them to put healthy
boundaries to their stretch and take this out
of their head.
Role of a good yoga teacher
A competent yoga teacher is the one
who should be able to teach anyone
irrespective of their physical abilities.
One should adopt various different
styles so that one can match the
abilities of their students. One should
not consider their yoga class as a trial
to find out whether it is working for
their students or not. Hence the best
yoga teaching methodology should be
the one that will prepare you to teach a
wide array of students with different
experiences and different health
conditions.
ACHIVEMENTS
Yes, no doubt, India has achieved its aim of
popularising YOGA by observing and celebrating
International Yoga day on 21st.June 2015. Ancient
Indian Yoga has achieved global approval. It is not
that only a day of yoga would solve its purpose.
Yoga needs to be practiced regularly. It has been
observed that since childhood, chi
l d r e n unknowingly operate themselves as
like yogic exercises. However, one has to
continue practicing yoga daily, without any
break in between, TO ACHIEVE THE TRUE
RESULT OF YOGA.
BENEFITS
“The benefits of yoga are different for different
people,” Laskowski says. “Overall, it has
components that can help with flexibility, strength,
balance, and stability.”
Research has shown it can also help with specific
measures of health, like eating habits, weight
loss and weight loss maintenance,
and cardiovascular health. . The benefits were
greater when the yoga intervention included
breathing techniques and meditation
A review looking at one year of recent
research found that people who practiced
yoga saw improvements across several
measures of health, including: anxiety,
stress, body composition, blood pressure,
inflammation, and metabolic markers in
people with type 2 diabetes.
A meta-analysis found that yoga
interventions helped middle-aged people
with a body mass index (BMI) of 25 or
higher to lower their blood pressure.
CONTRIBUTION OF MEMBERS
AMAN GARG
As a group member he plays a role in a
very good way . He was a very active member
of our group .He collects all the details
from the team members and from the society
and also he handled all the ideas given by the
team members. He definitely play a very
important role being a member of the group.
AMAN SHARMA
As a team member he also a very important role
in our project. He collects all the details from all
the websites and took some pictures which is
very helpful for our project.He gave us amazing
ideas which is very helpful for our project.In
this way he play a very important role in the
group.

He is very kind and polite person.As a polite
person, his words made huge contribution in
project to create awareness among people.He
gave us amazing ideas.
He definitely plays an important role being a
member of the group.
❖ ANJALI MEENA
She is also an important member of our
group. She provided the photos of the group
members while performing the project
activity. She gave us the amazing ideas for the
good content. She plays an important role
being a member of the group.
CONCLUSION
The Yoga ,Meditative practices are the ones which originated in India and they
have proved to be in immense importance for the well being of any individual.
The purpose of Yoga and meditation is to create harmony in physical, vital, mental,
psychological and spiritual aspects of the human being. In the following pages of
the project it is stated that Yoga is essential spiritual discipline bond on an
extremely subtle science which focuses on bringing harmony between mind
and body.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
In the acknowledgement of the project successfully many people
have best owned their blessings. And the heat pledged support that
I am utilising to thank all the people who have been concerned with
project.
Primarily, I would thank god for being able to complete this project
with success. Then I would like to thank my Physical Education
teacher whose valuable guidance during our school time. This
helped me to make this project and make a free proof success , and
his suggestions and instructions has served as a major contribution
towards the completion of the project.
