the difficulties faced by the students who often use the language. The
main goal is to determine the significance of Filipino language in furthering
their education and speaking skills.

frequently used in communication today. Slang is a type of informal language that is
used to communicate more quickly and easily among social groups. Today’s youth
tend to utilize a variety of word formations, simplify terms, and create multiple words
with identical meanings. That would benefit us as individuals since our first and
second languages are slowly evolving. Multiple circumstances necessitate the
utilization of a more formal style of language, just as some occasions require
formality so the utilization of more formal language. Also, colloquial language has
two drawbacks. Firstly, it creates a communication barrier for those who are not
initiated. Secondly, because most colloquial language is brief and energetic, with a
preference for one syllable phrases, it encourages the use of clichés rather than
more precise or proper terminology
