OBJECTIVE OF THE RESEARCH
Fear of water is the strongest predictor for no or low swimming
competencies. Therefore, it is important to identify such people and to
establish effective teaching stratergies that can best help this specific
population . Recognising this there is a need for an assessment tool which
can help swim coaches. Coaches should make the learner first comfortable
and gain trust before teaching the art to swim. Many of us don't learn
swimming just because of deep water fear.In this project we will discuss
about this fear and ways to overcome it.

When I was 6yrs old,my father took
me to Shishu Kunj to learn to swim
during my summer break.I had a great
fear for getting drowned,but i
overcame my fear by enjoying being
in water for hours.
CONCLUSION
Fear can be overcome by being exposed
to that situation frequently.
This is well explained in the Chapter-
Deep Water where the author, who had
fear for water as was tossed into deep

his fear by learning to swim and become an excellent
swimmer. For any terror in our life, there is no solution
unless we become strong to face it repeatedly untill that
terror is gone completely.Life is the other name to
struggle and fight. The one who does it properly will
surely succeed in his or her life.
