My favourite book

Danny, the champion of the world

By Roald Dahl

Raduca Petre Daniel – 10 th grade

BOOKFEST 2024
Hello, my name is Raduca Petre Daniel,
I am sixteen years old, I study in the 10th
grade at the Radu Vladescu Theoretical
High School and I decided to talk about
my favorite book called 'Danny, the
champion of the world' written by Roald
Dahl.
In general, this book is
appreciated by the other
readers, considering the
adventures that the child and
his father go through together.
Also, some people think that
the story is boring and you
have nothing to learn from it.
In my opinion, this book is a very good
one and has become my favorite for
several reasons.
The first reason is defined by the story
of the book, the fact that Danny,
although he remains without his mother
at the age of four months, is very
adventurous and eager to learn new
things.
The second reason why this book
fascinated me is the fact that the name
of the main character is similar to my
name and it made me feel like I was the
one going through all the adventures.
It is not difficult to read this
book, it does not contain terms
that you cannot understand
and it is suitable for young
people who are in the process
of unraveling, because they
can understand positive things
from this book.
And on top of that, it is a book from which
you can learn in some situations the fact that
you should not beat yourself up regardless
of the situations you are going through and
you should always think of the best solution
to overcome a difficult moment. Although
you think that sometimes it is difficult and
you only make wrong choices, you have to
think that along with those wrong choices
there will be some very good ones and that
there is always someone who supports you,
no matter if they are close to you or far
away.
"Life is full of wonderful things, if you know how to
look for them." - Danny, the champion of the world
"Being rich does not mean having a lot of money,
but having dear people around you." - Danny, the
champion of the world

These quotes from the book "Danny, the champion

of the world" by Roald Dahl illustrate the wisdom
and mature perspective of the main character,
Danny. In the first quote, Danny does not
encourage us to look for the wonderful things in
life, while in the second, he does not remind us that
true wealth lies in our relationships with our loved
ones. These messages are particularly powerful,
coming .on the part of a young character and
expressing the values and wisdom he acquired
from his close relationship with his father.
I recommend this
book in general to
children who want to
learn the life story of
the main character
that could be useful
in everyday life.
