 A person is said to be in good mental health if they are able to handle life's typical
challenges, work productively, maintain healthy relationships, and make wise
judgements. It includes social, psychological, and emotional aspects:
 Emotional well-being: This aspect refers to an individual's ability to recognize,
understand, and manage their emotions in a healthy way. It involves feeling a range
of emotions, from joy and contentment to sadness and frustration, without being

oneself and of one's skills. It entails having a sense of direction, feeling good about
oneself, and being resilient in the face of difficulties.

their general happiness and sense of belonging is referred to as their social well-
being.
 Integral to total Well-Being: Just as important as physical health is mental health as a
foundation for total wellbeing. Every area of our lives can go out of balance as a
result of neglecting our mental health.
 Interconnected Wellness: Physical and mental health are interconnected. Mental
well-being positively impacts physical health, and vice versa. A strong mind supports
better decision-making, healthier lifestyle choices, and improved immune function.
