Chapter 5 includes the conclusions and

recommendations of the study.

The learner:
1.Draws conclusions from patterns and themes (CS_RS11-
Ivg-j-1)
II. Formulates recommendations based on conclusions
(CS_RS11-Ivg-j-2)
III. Lists references (CS_RS11-Ivg-j-3)
True or False???
1.Conclusions are inferences and deductions based on the findings.
2. A research paper still is considered complete without a
conclusion.
3. The conclusion points out to what were factually learned from
the inquiry.
4. Conclusion is directly anchored on the Scope and Delimitation
of the Study.
5. No new information should be added to the conclusion.
What is a conclusion?
The conclusion of your study will
give closure to your research report as it
answers all questions posed in Chapter
1.
As stressed by Diether (2016),
conclusions relate directly to the
research questions or objectives.
Tips for Writing Conclusions
1. Interpret and summarize the findings. Tell what your findings or
collected data mean.
2. Relate the conclusions to the research questions. Focus only on
conclusions that help solve the original challenge.
3. Justify the conclusions with highlights from the findings.
4. Limit the conclusions to the data presented. Do not introduce new
material.
5. Be objective. Avoid exaggerating or manipulating data to prove
your point.
In addition, here are the recommended steps in
writing the conclusion.
1. Restate your topic briefly.
2. Summarize main points of your paper.
3. Discuss the significance of your points.
4. Discuss the future of your subject and the considered
issue, a suggestion or call to action.

Recommendations
What is a
recommendation?
Diether (2016) explains that recommendations
can take two forms: recommendations for further
study, or recommendations for change, or both.
Each recommendation should trace directly to a
conclusion.
Recommendation should be written in a brief,
concise and precise manner and should contain
the benefits of the research and the problems to
be improved, corrected and avoided.
Recommendations
Based on the findings and the conclusions of this study, the
researchers made the following recommendations:
1. The local government unit (LGU) of the Province of Guimaras especially the
Municipality of Sibunag should implement a project that will preserve the Oral Folk
Literature of the Aetas in Kati-Kati, San Miguel, Jordan, Guimaras.
2. The LGU officials should also spearhead an advocacy program that will
motivate the elders in this community to continue handing down these literary pieces
to younger generation like story telling activity.
3. The LGU officials should coordinate with other agencies for the inclusion of
these literary materials in Philippine folk literature so that these materials can be
accessed by all students in the country.
4. Teachers who are the front liners in curriculum contextualization must include
the folk literature of the Aetas in language subjects to make the learners aware of
their unique culture.
Recommendations
As the Factors influencing the Gender Preference of Select
Male Students of Trinidad V. Canja-Sta. Teresa National High
School were determined, the following were recommended by
the researchers:
1. Everybody especially the students should respect the gays in
school. Based on this study, they are victims of circumstances;
therefore, they should not be discriminated. instead, they should
be given equal chances and opportunities.
2. The school will promote awareness campaign to eliminate
the negative connotation of the word “gay” in the school.
