CLINICAL CASE
Rizky Hedinur Rahman – 22360166
Case I : Pulmonary Abscess

This is a healthy patient who came to emergency department with a clinical picture
of pneumonia. A chest X-ray showed upper lobe abscess of the right lung.
Case 2 : Pulmonary Abscess

Acute right lung abscess, X-Ray CT-Scan (Axial)

Case 3 : Cavitating Pulmonary TB
Apical segment
left lower lobe
cavitating lesion
measuring 3.9
centimeters.

Patchy airspace
opacities and
nodules
throughout both
lungs are also
noted.

Cavitation in Tuberculosis : the cavity is usually thin-walled, smooth

on the inner margin with no air-fluid level
Case 3 : Cavitating Pulmonary TB

There are large cavities in both apices (white arrows) and airspace disease at the left base (yellow arrow) on the chest
radiograph. On the coronal CT, the thin-walled upper lobe cavities without air-fluid levels are again seen (blue arrows) as is
the consolidation at the left base (green arrow). Nodular densities are scattered throughout both lungs.
