CASHLESS INDUSTRY?
Tourism industry is one of the fastest growing industries in the
world economy and the use of e-payments meet the consumers
strong preferences. According to Square (2018), using of e-
payments is advantageous for both consumers and restaurant
operators due to benefits is offers, such as enhanced security and
faster payment processing. However, the implementation of
payment gateways in the Philippines presents them with unique
constraints and these include security concerns and cyber threats.
The study was conducted to assess the issues and challenges of using e-
payment in quick dining restaurants. Specifically, this answered the following
questions:
1.1 age.
1.2 sex;
1.3 Occupation
1.4 Civil Status
1.5 monthly income; and
1.6 highest educational attainment?
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
According to the collected data, the researchers found that the majority of
the respondents are using GCash application when purchasing in quick dining
restaurants in Dasmarinas City, Cavite. In general, they felt more secured in using e-
payment applications whenever they take extra security measures like double
authentication, regular change of password, and creating strong passwords despite
of being conscious towards the increasing risk of fraud. The data shows that using e-
payment applications are userfriendly yet challenging especially when it comes to
accessibility. During unforeseen events of fraud, customer service responsiveness of
each e-payment application is helpful and fast in resolving user’s concerns. In
addition, processing fees were seen as reasonable. A simple four-point Likert scale
was used to measure the responses of the respondents who are the users of e-
payment applications in quick dining restaurants in Dasmarinas City, Cavite.
CONCLUSIONS
1. The users of e-payment applications were mostly single, female, ages below 25
years old, earning less than 15,000 a month and falls within the bracket of
housewife, student, and unemployed.
2. The majority of e-payment users were utilizing GCash as their main method of
payment.
3. The users were educated about the high risk of using e-payment applications
along with its basic security measures to prevent fraud.

regarding the problems of e-payment application
