INTRODUCTION
The Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) is a critical
component of the architectural curriculum, designed to bridge the gap
between theoretical knowledge and practical application. Over the past
six months, I had the invaluable opportunity to intern with
Construcshop, an esteemed architectural firm renowned for its
innovative design and commitment to sustainable building practices.
This report aims to provide a comprehensive overview of my
experiences, the skills I acquired, and the insights I gained during my
stay at Construcshop.
AIM
The primary aim of the Student Industrial
Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) is to
bridge the gap between theoretical education
and practical application by providing 00
students with hands-on experience in their
chosen fields. This scheme aims to prepare

CONCLUSUION
The six-month internship at Construcshop under the Student Industrial Work Experience
Scheme (SIWES) has been instrumental in bridging the gap between my academic studies
and practical architectural work. During this period, I developed key skills in Revit, creating
detailed floor plans, sections, elevations, and both interior and exterior designs. Additionally,
my involvement in site work taught me essential project supervision techniques, the 3,4,5
method of setting out, and the importance of punctuality and effective management of
artisans. Adapting to the professional environment posed significant challenges, including
mastering new tools, adjusting to the dynamics of site work, and managing time effectively.
However, overcoming these obstacles has enhanced my resilience and practical skills,
preparing me well for future roles in architecture. This internship has been a transformative
experience, equipping me with the knowledge and confidence needed to succeed in the
architectural field.
