What is GIMP?

 GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) is a


free, open-source graphics editor used for tasks
such as photo retouching, image composition,
and image creation. It’s a powerful alternative to
paid software like Adobe Photoshop and is
widely used by hobbyists, graphic designers,
and even professionals for various image editing
needs.
NOW LETS GO OVER STEP BY STEP!
Add Text along Path
 1. Create a new image in GIMP
 2. Click the Paths tool in the Toolbox, and create the path where you want
the text to go along.
 3. Click the two separate points in the image display area.
 4. Drag the line so that it curves to your desired shape.

 5. Add text, and set the font size 62 px.

 6. Go to Layers; right-click the Text layer; and select Text along Path.
 You will see a layer where the text you made is in the direction of the path
you created.

 7. Remove the visibility of the Text layer.
 You will now have the text in the new path that you created.

 8. Using the Paths Tool, click the text to make another layer for
this so you can edit it.

 9. Go to Paths, and right-click Path to Selection.

 10. Create a New Layer, and modify the text using the Bucket Fill
Tool.

 11. Click the text to fill it with color.

 12. Remove visibility of the paths, Now you have the Text along
the Path.
Importance of Adding Text along
Path:
 The “Text Along Path” feature in GIMP allows text to
follow a curve or shape, such as a circle, wave, or
custom design, making it a versatile tool for creative
projects. It enhances visual appeal by creating
dynamic and engaging text effects, adding a polished

badge or wrapping around an image, ensuring
