What is Communication?

• It is a meaningful exchange of information


through Verbal, Non Verbal or Written between
two or more living creatures.
The Communication Process
Communication consists of two phases:
1. Transmission Phase: information is shared
by 2 or more people.
2. Feedback Phase: a common
understanding is assured.
❑1. Transmission Phase:
Sender;
The process starts with the source (sender) who wants
to share information so he puts the message into
symbols or language, which is known as encoding.
• Medium: Pathway - the message is transmitted
through orally, written, non verbal.
• Receiver: person getting the message. Then
Receiver next Decodes the message.
• Decoding allows the receiver to understand the
message.
❑2. Feedback Phase:
Feedback is started by receiver and states that the
message is understood fully.
