Artificial intelligence is the science of making machines that can think like humans. It can
do things that are considered "smart." AI technology can process large amounts of data in
ways, unlike humans. The goal for AI is to be able to do things such as recognize patterns,
make decisions, and judge like humans.
Introduction
Artificial Intelligence is a branch of science which deals with helping machines find
solution to complex problems in a more human like fashion .This generally involve
borrowing characteristic from human intelligence and applying them as algorithms in
a computer friendly way. A more or less or flexible or efficient approach can be taken
depending on the requirement established, which influence how artificial intelligence
behaviour appears.
Artificial intelligence is generally is associate with computer science, but it has many
important links with other field such as maths, psychology, biology and many other.
Our ability to combine knowledge from all these field will ultimately benefits our
progress in the quest of creating an intelligent artificial being.
A.I in the fields of robotics is the make computational modals of human thought
processes. It is not enough to make a programme that seem to behave the way
human do . You want to make a program that does it the way human do it.
In computer science they also the problem because we have to make a computer
that are satisfy for understanding the high-level language and that was taken to be
A.I
History of A.I
Birth of A.I: 1950 -1956
The term “Artificial Intelligence ”was coined and came into popular use. Alan Turing in
1950 published “computer machinery and intelligence” which proposed a test of
machine intelligence called the lmitation Games.
1975:First conference of the AAAI was held at Stanford
1995: A computer programmer named Rollo Carpenter invented the chatbot Jabber
wacky, which he programmed to provide interesting and entertaining conversation to
humans.
2010:Microsoft launched the Xbox 360 Kinect, the first gaming hardware designed to
track body movement and translate it into gaming directions.
2018:A Chinese tech group called Alibaba’s language-processing AI beat human
intellect on a Stanford reading and comprehension test.
and so on.
Goals
American Association For Artificial Intelligence (AAAI)
Founded in 1979, the American Association For Artificial Intelligence (AAAI)
is a non-profit scientific society devoted to advancing the scientific
understanding of the mechanism underlying thought and intelligent
behaviour and their embodiment in machines. AAAI also aims to increase
public understanding of Artificial Intelligence, improve the training of AI
practitioners, and provide guidance for research planners and Funders
concerning the importance and potential of current AI developments and
Future direction.
Conclusion
AI will change education in a variety of ways, from the way students learn to the way
teachers teach. AI-based tools will allow students to learn faster, with more
personalized instruction tailored to their individual needs. AI can also help teachers
track student progress, allowing them to intervene in learning when necessary and
provide more effective instruction. AI can also provide valuable insights into student
performance and help teachers develop better teaching methods. AI will also help
schools become smarter, with more efficient use of resources and better decision-
making. Ultimately, AI can help create a more equitable, effective, and enjoyable
learning environment for all students.
While we are making broad predictions, imagine if every person had access to
supportive AI technology that was designed with equity, access, privacy and learners at
the core. ChatGPT and its successors, built on these premises, will radically change the
education landscape – sooner than we think. In an increasingly distracted and
disconnected world, perhaps AI can provide more quality educational access to more
people in a more efficient manner to give time to collaboratively tackle some of the
world’s greatest challenges.
