VILLAGE OR URBAN LIFE?
BY SRIKARI
ADVANTAGES OF VILLAGE LIFE
Mahatma Gandhi had said, “The real India lives in villages”.The mind and
soul of a man are soothed by greenery.
1. Village life refers to living in a small community or settlement located in
rural areas, away from large cities. Villages have a slower pace of life,
and people engage in agricultural activities.
2. The community has a simple, natural, and fresh way of life. Everyone
lives as a family because of the limited amenities. villages are close to
their natural surroundings — so, luscious fields, forests, and rivers — a
connection with nature offers a sense of peace
3. village life has lower cost of living and NO POLLUTION. In a village,
people experience peace, brotherhood, and simplicity.
DISADVANTAGES OF VILLAGE LIFE
Most of the villages are located in remote areas and few are in inaccessible regions.
People cannot lead a luxurious and sophisticated lifestyle compared to city life.
There are no proper amenities compared to city life.NO better educational
institutions,medical facilities and industries.NO EMPLOYMENT
The practice of landlordship, where land is owned by a few rich people, has resulted
in increase in the poverty in the villages, with the rich landlords getting richer by
exploiting poor villagers.
everyone who does their work is not adequately trained in it. Thus, the quality of the
work is low.
ADVANTAGES OF CITY LIFE
City life provides a diverse range of amenities and possibilities.
Cities have better healthcare facilities, educational institutions, and
industries
City life refers to living in a densely populated urban area, with a fast-
paced lifestyle
In terms of career prospects, a higher standard of living, and the country’s
economic growth, city life is better.
DISADVANTAGES OF CITY LIFE
Several pollutants, such as air, noise, and water, characterize a city
life. A significant number of enterprises, factories, and mills are
responsible for these emissions.Traffic noise, filthy air, enormous
buildings, small streets, and a human-made environment
The environment is commonly denoted by overcrowding,
skyscrapers, and thronged roads
Living in an urban area is more expensive — rent, house prices,
food, transportation, and other forms of entertainment
