Politics is a set of activities associated with the governance of a
country or an area. It involves making decisions that apply to
group of members. It refers to achieving and exercising
positions of governance—organized control over a human
community, particularly a state.
Psychology is the scientific study of human behaviour and
mental processes.

Political psychology has emerged as an important field in
both political science and psychology that enables us to
explain many aspects of political behavior.

scientific method in political psychology:
1. making observations
2. formulating tentative explanations, or a hypothesis

Much of the discussion of personality in political psychology concerns the
personality traits of political leaders and the impact of particular combinations of
those traits on their leadership styles.

interesting to study.
Political behavior is not an academic exercise, but a life-
shaping and life-altering experience.
At the heart of political psychology is the question of
whether, by understanding why people behave as they do in
politics, we can prevent the worst of human behavior and
promote the best.
