Stay at Home!
By: Marites S. Bergantin

Marc is watching the evening news

over the television while her
mother is cooking their dinner. He
heard important news, so he called
his mother.
“Mama! Mama! Listen, the
news is telling people to stay at
home for our safety. Why do
we need to do that mama?”
Marc asked.

“Let us listen first to the news,

“We need to stay at home. Children
ages twenty and below and senior
citizens who are sixty years old above
are advised to stay inside the house.
Only one person for each family
member is allowed to go out to buy
their food and other needs. Always wear
your face mask and practice social
distancing.
It is the only way to make ourselves free
from coronavirus. Stay at home! Stay
healthy! Safety first!” “Marc, did you
hear that! We must follow their advice.
There is no vaccine developed yet to
fight the virus. The only way we could
do to help stop the spread of virus is to
stay at home. Let us protect ourselves”.
Mother said.
“Yes, Mama. From now on, I will
stay inside the house. I will just
use my phone to see my
friends and other relatives
through the internet. I will also
tell them to stay at home,”
Marc replied.
“You can still do many things while
inside the house, Marc. You can
help do the household chores. You

you? Have you heard these
words before? Let us use the

of these words. Connect the
