made for farmers and rural population and will also have
the after effects of such novel innovations. India is in need
of special innovations for rural area and especially farmers.
It will be interesting to know that one nodal agency is doing
great work on improving life of millions of villagers by
supporting and promoting innovations by some great
minded individuals.
Farmers and rural Indians have their own problems and
issues and National Innovation Foundation-India (NIF)
situated at Ahmadabad is playing pivotal role in this silent
revolution.
Amazing innovations

Tractor Driven Onion Transplanted, Low Cost Paddy Thresher, Chandraprabha: Rain
Gun, Rural Egg Incubator, Lemon Cutting Machine are some of the most innovative
innovations made by local brainy of rural India.
All this amazing innovations will be shown in a detailed in this weekly Kisan Magazine.
It will be interesting to see that how these innovations took place and how its making
effect and impact on people of rural India at large. This documentary will have details
about how National Innovation Foundation-India (NIF), started functioning from
Ahmadabad in March 2000 as India’s national initiative to strengthen the grassroots
technological innovations and outstanding traditional knowledge.
It will also be interesting to know that what is Honey Bee network philosophy and how
this network is helping many Indian innovators.
NIF with its constant efforts is making one silent revolution, and this has changed face
of rural India. It’s really a noticeable that NIF has created institutional space for
grassroots technological innovators.
This will also have bytes of the Presidential winner innovators.NIF has been able to
build up a database of more than 1, 60,000 ideas, innovations and traditional
knowledge practices from over 545 districts of the country.

on river water.
He was awarded
President’s award for
this “ Real Rural
Innovation”.
And how about this Groundnut
digging machine?
Two-thirds of Rajasthan has
sandy soil and groundnut is
grown all over the state. The
process of groundnut digging
involves digging up the
ground and separating the
pods from the soil. But
normal groundnut harvesters
fail to dig out all the
groundnuts from the field.
The innovator, Yusuf Khan has
innovate this machine which
is helping farmers al lot.
How about washing clothes with legs?

Reemya Jose from Kerala didn’t like washing clothes after


coming back from school. She wanted to make something
which could be used without electricity. So, she had a
close look at the functioning of electric washing machines
and created this washing machine which runs by
peddling.
