Genesis was originally incorporated as Genesis Software Consultancy Services on February 2000. The name of the company was changed to Genesis Futuristic Technologies Limited in April 2001 when it became a public limited company under the Company Act, 1956 (Indian Company Act), of the Republic of India. Genesis is today a group comprising of the following companies:

Also Tasked by the World Bank and then President James Wolfensohn to help launch a major distance-learning education institution in Africa that would utilize satellite technology and the Internet to broadcast courses from all over the World to African students. Bonjawo was subsequently elected Chairman of the Board of the AVU. Mr. Bonjawo holds an MBA in Finance from the George Washington University, Washington, DC and an engineering degree in Computer Science from ESIP in Paris, France.
