Jason Pruet is a physicist and technology leader with over 20 years of experience in science, national security, and public service. He earned his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of California, San Diego, where he studied astrophysics and nucleosynthesis. He has held leadership roles at Lawrence Livermore and Los Alamos National Laboratories and spent nearly a decade in federal service managing programs in nuclear security, intelligence, and engineering. In 2025, Jason Pruet from OpenAI joined the Mission Alignment team, helping guide the responsible development of artificial intelligence. His work connects science, policy, and technology to ensure AI serves humanity.
