About
Prof. Palmieri is the Head of the Superconductivity and Surface Treatment Laboratory at Legnaro National Laboratories of the Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare (Italy). He is Director of the "Master on Surface Treatments for Industrial Applications" at the University of Padua. Since 25 years he has been working in the field of Superconducting Cavity Technology, where he has contributed with over 280 scientific publications and 3 patents, and more than 70 Ph.D. and M.Sc. theses supervised. Listed as an expert by the Italian Ministry of Research, he has been driving a research group, also particularly active for the technology transfer to industry of the know-how on thin films.
