Cathryn Lee is an Assistant Professor of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Chicago. Dr. Lee has clinical and research interests in interstitial lung disease. Her research focuses on the relationship between inhalation exposures, both occupational and domestic, and clinical outcomes in patients with interstitial lung disease (ILD). Her current work describes the relationship between exposures and survival across all ILDs regardless of underlying subtype. Her overall goal is to better identify these exposures to both improve outcomes in patients with ILD as well as prevent ILD in those who are at high risk.

Definition Suicide-the act or an instance of taking one's own life voluntarily and intentionally especially by a person of years of discretion and of sound mind Depression- An illness that involves the body, mood, and thoughts, that affects the way a person eats and sleeps, the way one feels about oneself, and the way one thinks about things
- 3. When someone says the word “suicide,” it is usually met with silence. Just say the word, and immediately people want to avoid talking about the subject. Suicide describes the voluntary and intentional act of taking one’s own life.

Warning Signs Suicide Depression Talking About Dying Recent Loss Change in Personality Change in Behavior Change in Sleep Patterns Change in Eating Habits Diminished Sexual Interest Fear of losing control Low self esteem No hope for the future Tiredness Mood swings Difficulty coping with life - the day-to-day routine of getting up, going to work, and coming home can seem worthless. The depressed person may feel as if he or she is not important, his or her job does not matter, life does not matter. There is a strong sense of hopelessness.

- 10. Another book that relates to TWISTED: Another book I think is similar to the book TWISTED is Thirteen Reason why. This book is similar to Twisted because Hannah in the book does commit suicide then sends types around telling why she did, and who help her make that choice, and who could of help stop her. This is another good book to read because it makes you think about what you could do to stop someone from committing suicide. How this is similar to Twisted is that even though Tyler didn’t commit suicide he was thinking about and he had a friend to talk him out of it, unlike Hannah.
- 11. How it relates to TWISTED: In the Book Twisted Tyler thinks about committing Suicide towards the end of the book because he doesn’t think anyone cares about him! He thinks everyone hates me, his family doesn’t love him and his friend thinks he just uses him.
