This document describes a project called "Climate change adaptation of the structural ceramic industry by using recycled glass as flux". The project aims to reduce the environmental impact of ceramic manufacturing by lowering firing temperatures through the addition of recycled glass. A consortium of organizations from Spain and Greece will conduct laboratory, pilot, and industrial tests using various raw materials and glass types. The expected results are 10-15% reductions in both energy use and CO2 emissions from ceramic production, as well as lower manufacturing costs through decreased material and energy costs.
