Competitive strategies
Business Objectives and Learning
The purpose of providing learning is to better meet
business objectives. LMS vendors have an opportunity to
help organizations on both fronts by making the training
function more efficient, and employees more productive
Exploring the Learning Management System
The answer to fragmentation and inefficiencies in
learning is an effective learning management system
(LMS) applied strategically throughout the enterprise.
http://www.clomedia.com/articles/lms_your_key_to_competitive_advantage
Competitive strategies
The Importance of Integration
Integration solves the problem of scattered learning and
indeterminate results. Enterprise-wide integration within a
pure-Internet framework enables the LMS to gather learning
information and help determine what learning needs to be
delivered across the organization. Such integration also makes
it possible to analyze the effectiveness of the learning.
Management in Real Time
An LMS is a refreshing alternative to static tools, such as Excel
spreadsheets. The real-time nature of an industry-leading
LMS, combined with seamless integration, embeds learning in
business processes and increases productivity via just-in-time
access.
Competitive strategies
 Constituent Involvement
Enterprise-wide strategic learning applies not just to
employees, but to customers, suppliers and partners as
well.
 Seeing a Return on Learning Management
Driving business performance is one benefit of enterprise
learning. Gaining a large competitive market share is
another. All organizations can benefit from an enterprise-
wide LMS, particularly service companies needing to train
people quickly and respond to urgent customer needs.
Competitive strategies
 ROI
Integrated LMSs save time otherwise spent seeking
information, make information development more cost-
effective, provide analytics to aid in future spending
decisions and more. Such automated, streamlined
learning translates into ROI from reduced learning costs.
 Soft ROI and Business Benefits
The positive impact and the value of learning extends
beyond figures on a balance sheet. Many business
benefits arise from soft ROI, which Gartner calls “value on
investment” (VOI).
Competitive strategies
 Thinking Locally, Learning Globally
Managing constituents worldwide both increases the
need for learning and makes learning effectiveness an
imperative. Learning that must be relevant based on
currency, language and context requires a state-of-the-art
system.
 Learning Today: Fragmented, Inefficient, Immeasurable
Despite current trends, even some of the most advanced
corporations have not successfully organized and
strategically leveraged their vast learning potential in all
its forms.

Feasibility
 We have measured feasibility based on the following
points.
1. Interoperability and Flexibility.
2. Performance.
3. Cost effectiveness.
4. Support and Training.
5. Ease of Use.
6. Scalability.
7. Sustainability.
Feasibility….
 According to our assess team’s research Bradley LMS
will be faster, more flexible, scalable, cost effective and
easy to use than the current Sakai LMS being used.
 Bradley LMS is based on C# and MS SQL database.
This makes Bradley LMS viable or support from
Microsoft.
Conclusion
 It is obviously important to provide training which is connected to the
overall business objectives to an organization. In these competitive times,
departments associated with employee development are increasingly
being required to demonstrate that what they do provides this together
with clearly identified business benefits. Introducing an LMS will not only
enhance those business benefits, it will also allow trainers to demonstrate
and measure them. In some areas, notably ROI, the benefits of e-learning
as a tool are clear. Using an LMS to manage that e-learning enhances that
ROI and provides the bedrock for running and managing the training
programs. But the other benefits offered by LMS‟s – managing resources,
meeting regulatory requirements, the increase in speed of learning,
helping learners to take responsibly for their training and mapping learning
to business objectives are as, if not more important in many cases.
