  1 John 3 1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew Him not. 2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is. 3 And every man that hath this hope (confident expectation) in him purifieth himself, even as He is pure.

  4 Whosoevercommitteth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. 5 And ye know that He was manifested to take away our sins; and in Him is no sin. 6 Whosoever abideth in Him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen Him, neither known Him. 7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as He is righteous. Sin is contrary to God's Word, and therefore to the very nature of God. Sin must not be taken lightly.

  Jesus didn't cometo make sin less sinful . He came to take away our sin, because in Him is no sin . It is God's delight to forgive sin , when we come to Him in humility and true repentance . But God can not and will not overlook sin. We must confess our sins as being sinful ; Ask God to forgive us and cleanse us; And whole-heartedly turn from them.

  Hebrews 12 1-4 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight , and the sin which doth so easily beset us , and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith; Who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider Him that endured such contradiction of sinners against Himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds . Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.

  6 Whosoeverabideth in Him sinneth not: who-soever sinneth hath not seen Him, neither known Him. John’s point is simple and straightforward. Sin is a product of ignorance and blindness toward God. “No one who sins has seen Him or known Him” The Bible Knowledge Commentary: An Exposition of the Scriptures by Dallas Seminary Faculty. The subject here is not "saved or lost". The subject is knowing, intimately knowing and understanding The True and Living God, Through Jesus Christ .

  7 Littlechildren, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as HE is righteous. 8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. Righteousness and only righteousness comes through Jesus Christ. All sin and only sin comes from the devil. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil.

  When a persongets saved , born again -- Born of the Holy Spirit of God into the family of God -- Sin no longer has dominion ( power ) over him. We choose to walk after the spirit , which is born of God and can't sin. Or we choose to walk after the flesh (soul [will, intellect, and emotions] and body), which loves sin .

  9 Whosoeveris born of God doth not commit sin; for His Seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 1 Thessalonians 5 23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. I am a spirit , I have a soul , I live in a body , otherwise known as my earth-suit.

  My spirit and only my spirit is born of God. My spirit is forever pure -- sinless . But my carnal mind is impure , and must be submitted to the Power of God's Holy Spirit, If I will ever think as God thinks.

  2 Corinthians 10 3-5 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds;) Casting down imaginations {logismos - human reasoning) , and every high thing that exalteth itself against the Knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

  Human reasoning (Logismos)Is wrong every time and all the time. Romans 8 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. Mature sons and daughters of God have learned to put our confidence in the Holy Spirit of God, Who leads us according to every Word of God. My way leads only to trouble and backsliding. God's Way leads only to blessing.
