Who would own my magazine?
I think for my music magazine I would
choose future PLC, although the other
‘main players’ are much larger companies,
I think it is notable that Bauer and IPC
Media produce a lot fewer music magazines
than Future PLC, and the music magazines
created by Future all seem to be targeted at a
very niche market which I think could be
benefiting for my indie genre magazine. I
wouldn’t choose EMAP as although it seems to be a
very polished company none of what they produce
really fits with a music magazine – as they produce
business magazines.
