Save time
by using
SHORTCUTS

Shortcuts for Select all, Duplicate and
Group are easy to remember and useful
when handling elements on your presentation.
Ctrl
A GD

Ctrl + D does the same
thing as copy + paste but
easier and faster!
Ctrl + A selects all
elements in the slide or
all text in an active
text box.
Ctrl + G groups elements
so they can be handled as
one. Useful e.g. when
resizing multiple elements.

How to quickly
SCALE THE SIZE OF
MANY ELEMENTS

Sometimes you have multiple elements on
your slide and you want to resize them all.
Scaling each one separately is time-consuming.

Start by choosing elements you want to scale
and then group them by using shortcut
CTRL + G.

Scale the grouped elements by grabbing one
of the corner handles. To keep the aspect
ratio, press Shift while resizing the elements.

Now you should have nicely scaled elements.
If you want to edit the elements separately
again, you can ungroup them.

How to overcome
ASPECT RATIO
LIMITATIONS
in PowerPoint

Modern displays and projectors favor
widescreen aspect ratio 16:9, when images
aspect ratios are usually 4:3.

By default, PowerPoint uses also 16:9 aspect
ratio. So what to do when images won’t fit to
the slide?

If you scale the image to fill the whole slide,
you will miss parts of the image and probably
there is not enough space for text.

If you move the image to other side, you will
get great space for the text, but the slide was
more interesting when the image covered the
whole slide.

Start by copying the image and then crop an
area from the image. Area should be
something you can replicate, like blurred
background. Next, flip the cropped area.
Copy

horizontal

Move the cropped are close to images
border and repeat previous phase as many
times as you need to get the whole slide
covered.
Repeat

Now the image covers the entire slide. There
is also great space for text on the left side of
the slide!

Suppose you have drawn this nice table
layout for Christmas dinner in PowerPoint.

And then your mother-in-law tells you...

ROUND TABLES!

This is how you can

Select everything on your slide

And select oval shape

BOOM! In your face mother-in-law!
Now you have round tables in the layout.
