The ReNu 120 pumphead achieves a life of over 6 months when pumping
water at its maximum flow rate with a 4 bar discharge pressure.
At lower flow rates life will far exceed this.
These life figures are possible due to a maximum pressure of only 4 bar,
and a softer grade of tube material.

Prominent - Sigma 1 model delivers flows up to 120 l/hr at 4 bar. The Sigma series
features a detachable control interface.
Grundfos - The DMX series delivers up to 280 l/hr at 8 bar. Promoted as smooth and
low-pulse. The DME 150-4 pump delivers 150 l/h at 4 bar.
Pulsafeeder -The Pulsatron M-series delivers flows of up to 170 l/hr at 10 bar. The
Pulsar hypo pump is targeted at water treatment. It is hydraulically actuated and
delivers up to 200 l/hr at 10 bar. It has a sophisticated auto-degassing head.
Blue White - the A2/M2 pumps deliver flows up to 55 l/hr at up to a stated 8.6 bar. The

Why
The Qdos range is being expanded every year. It is vital that sales
engineers can specify the correct product with performance to match or
exceed customer expectations.
Qdos 30 sales have too low a growth rate given the size of the market.
Initially issues with sodium hypochlorite and lubricant incompatibility
caused a loss in confidence. This has been compounded by sales of the
product into applications with incompatible fluids or with performance
demands which result in too low a consumable pumphead life.
Objective:
To provide training on which products to specify and the resources to utilize. To reduce
the number of complaints due to incorrectly specified applications
Aim:
To increase Qdos unit sales and group revenue. To improve product confidence and
increase sales growth.

We do not offer any guarantee of life due to system and fluid uncertainties, however
we can provide guidance of optimal life based on test results and field data.
The optimal life of the ReNu technology is obtained with the following conditions:
1) Average flow less than 2/3rd
of flow capacity
2) Pressure less than 5.5 bar
Pumphead life with water under these conditions is typically 4000 hours
Over 8000 hours can be achieved with some low flow, low pressure applications
Pressure of 7 bar will result in a 3000 hour pumphead life for flows less than 2/3rd
pump capacity
Continuous maximum flow at 7 bar will result in a 1400 hour life
Continuous maximum flow at 2 bar will result in a 3000 hour life
ReNu pumphead optimal life - 120
The ReNu 120 pumphead achieves a typical life of 6 months when pumping water
at its maximum flow rate with a 4 bar discharge pressure.
We cannot supply data for flow rates less than this as we have not had enough
time to evaluate the product for lower flows.
These life figures are possible due to a maximum pressure of only 4 bar, and a
softer grade of tube material.

The exceptions to consider are :
• Low flows or low duty e.g. <5l/h applications – The Qdos 30 will offer long life and
better resolution
• Price sensitive customers (OEM, emerging markets) – The Qdos 30 or Qdos 60
could be more competitive

    Why The Qdos rangeis being expanded every year. It is vital that sales engineers can specify the correct product with performance to match or exceed customer expectations. Qdos 30 sales have too low a growth rate given the size of the market. Initially issues with sodium hypochlorite and lubricant incompatibility caused a loss in confidence. This has been compounded by sales of the product into applications with incompatible fluids or with performance demands which result in too low a consumable pumphead life.

The M2 is a new product which gives a flow range comparable to Qdos 30. Our belief is that the range of Bus capability is provided using ANYBUS which gives significantly reduced functionality when compared to PROFIBUS DP The tube life of this pump is comparable to an REH element. Blue white quote a top pressure capability of 8.6bar, we have seen in our own testing that there is significant flow drop at these pressures. If you really examine the Blue White literature you will see that 8.6bar is for intermittent duty, dig further and you will see that intermittent duty means no more than 7 minutes!
  • #39Ā The Qdos range now consists three drive flow ranges, and various pumpheads. It is vital that sales engineers can specify the correct product, and use the opportunity to upsell where possible. Qdos is designed to break into the diaphragm pump market. To be successful customer expectations must be met or exceeded. Qdos 30 sales have not grown in two years. Some of this has been due to a loss in confidence of the product in certain markets. Initially issues with sodium hypochlorite and lubricant incompatibility caused a loss in confidence. This has been compounded by sales of the product into applications with incompatible fluids or with performance demands which result in too low a consumable pumphead life.
