The LLS mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
Since its founding in 1949, LLS has invested more than $600 million in research specifically targeting leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.
Last year alone, LLS made 6.3 million contacts with patients, caregivers and healthcare professionals. LLS serves an estimated 895,000 Americans who are presently living with leukemia, lymphoma, or myeloma.
 Leukemia is the leading disease-killer of children and young adults under the age of 20.
 Leukemia and lymphoma are the leading fatal cancers in males under the age of 39.
 Every five minutes, someone in the United States is diagnosed with a blood cancer.
 Every ten minutes, another child or adult is expected to die of leukemia, lymphoma or myeloma.Young Professionals CommitteeThe YPC consists of dedicated young professionals in the metro-NJ/NY area	MissionTo develop and execute annual fundraising events to support the LLS, while also providing a vehicle through which talented and energetic young professionals can make a positive impact in their community and in the lives of blood cancer patients and their families.
