  The Strangers This filmopening is what we want ours to be most like, especially the credits. With the dark atmospheric soundtrack in the background it creates an intense and scary scene. The font that is used is red and this may symbolize death and horror as the film withholds. The font itself is quite small and intense. Then a voice over is introduced and says how it was based upon true events and this allows it to be more realistic and scarier. Then it comes up with facts about violence in America, this lets the viewer feel how it is set in the modern day. This may mean the viewer is then in belief that the upcoming events could happen to an everyday person. The the sound track comes in as a phone call about a boy that has gone into a house and found a murder scene and the sound of horror a freight over takes the boys voice to the police.
