PREREQUISITES 1 HAND OVER OF HINDRANCE FREE LAND By 08.09.2016 Complete land is theoretically handed over on 03.11.16. Discrepancies found between CH 42 to 58Km. Redesign of alignment & shifting of BR ROW pillars required. Handed over land have several encumbrances like structures, electrical poles, water/ gas pipe lines, land dispute etc. 2 HAND OVER OF INITIAL REFERENCE SURVEY PILLARS By 23.03.2016 No reference pillars found at site. IRCON had to re establish the reference pillars. 3 ISSUANCE OF GFC DRAWINGS By 31.03.2017 L-section for railway embankment, finalized on 09.12.17. Part GFC drawings for bridges issued on 08.12.17. GFC drgs. of culverts (A2 to Mongla) not issued yet. Multiple revisions in drawings and delay in finalization of L-section hampered the earthwork progress. 4 CONSULTANT’S MANPOWER Adequate for day to day work monitoring & attending RFIs. No one present to attend various drawing/ design issues arising during execution. Manpower augmented on 13.11.17. Any drawing/ design issue have to refer CEG Jaipur HQ. Consumes lot of time which otherwise could be solved on spot.

No. Description Original Planned Date of Completion Present status Remarks 4a EARTHWORK FOR RAILWAY EMBANKMENT (Phultala to M.Nagar) by 30.03.18 This 19.20Km section have been divided in to two work Packages, Pa-8 & 7 and revised planned DOC is 31.10.18 Multiple revisions and delay in finalization of L- section hampered the earthwork progress. Final approved L-section for Pht-Mohd is issued on 09.11.17 & for Rupsha to Digraj on 09.12.17 Method statement for earthwork submitted on 14.05.17 approved on 23.11.17 . 4b EARTHWORK FOR RAILWAY EMBANKMENT (M.Nagar to Mongla) by 30.06.19 Rest (46Km + 4.9Km) section have been divided in to six work Packages, Pkg- 1 to & 6 and revised planned DOC is 30.09.19

Balance drawings of 13 girders not issued yet. 5e Bearings --- No drawings issued yet.

Now, Plate load test has been asked by CEG after sand filling to ascertain bearing capacity which is delaying the works further. Foundation Ground improvement method in Box culverts is required to be change as the given method will delay the project. As per given method , Min. 03 months are required for Ground Improvement for box culvert in formation heights above 4 m. 8 Track/ P-way works 8a Supply of Rails By 30.10.17 Completed on 20.11.17 Supply of Sleepers By 30.03.18 Not commenced yet likely to be commenced by 15.02.18 revised DOC 31.07.18 Work was awarded by IRCON to manufacture in June 2017 & approval was given by BR on 15.11.17 Supply of P-way Fittings By 30.03.18 No provision for these item in IRCON’s Scope of work. revised DOC 30.06.18 BR has to urgently arrange these items to commence track linking works.
