Research
• The main strengths of my research is that I had a lot of ideas to try and
base my podcast off, this was very good for me because I struggled with
ideas to do so these podcasts other people have done have inspired my
work from top to bottom, I haven't copied in any shape of form.
• It also helped influence how I layered my text and intro and outro,
because I realised that I needed to match the sound effects to the mood
of the speech.
• Some main weaknesses in my work included the limitations there is to
create a podcast. I struggled finding very good podcasts that had the same
ideas as me and this was difficult because I couldn’t find inspiration right
away, I had to burn time to find some good ones then to trite about them
which took up a lot of time and this section is particularly long
Planning
• Some strong points in my planning was obviously the planning, the
planning helped me to get ideas down on what I could I could possibly
create. This took some time but it was all for the right reasons. It took
more time to plan than anything else in all my work because I decided to
pit some time in to get the ideas down to then quickly create something
that was good. This is a good work method because if you put in the time
at the start you will see the results you get out of it.
• Some major weak points planning was the trying to create ideas from the
research. This was hard because I was trying to create ideas from what I
have heard from other peoples podcasts so it was very hard to not
accidently copy there ideas into mine. However I managed to do it but it
took some time to get good ideas. Things I could greatly improve on is how
I plan, I seem to get loads of ideas but sometimes they don’t fit or make
sense with what I am trying to create, so I should in future have a few
good ideas but with lots of details explaining them.
Time Management
• My time management was ok but I could of improved certain sections,
some sections that was really good where the planning, research, these
sections went really well when I was working on them. Some sections that
didn’t go as well was the production reflection and initial plans, these
didn’t go to well because I spent way to much time on initial plans but I
did get lots of ideas down which I what I was looking for but just cut my
time short. And production reflection didn’t go good as well because I
spent to little on this section, even though it is not a long section I feel l
could’ve added a lot more detail into this bit.
• One thing I would’ve done to get more time is to plan how long I want to
work on my sections, then when I have done every thing go back over
them and improve them if I have more time.
Technical Qualities
• https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RpE_vEzZYD0
• The tech podcast
• In my podcast there was some similar things to look at like the
sound effects at the start this hyped it up a bit but mine
wasn’t as hype as the true Geordie podcast. We both had
questions to answer in our podcasts which is good because
you always want to be asking different questions to keep the
audience entertained. Some major differences there it is that
there podcast is much longer and more of a relaxed type
podcast unlike mine where it is I am getting interviewed. But
also that there is three people in there and two in mine.
Aural Qualities
• My work does not sound the best but I am happy with what I have
created so far, the voices I feel are a little to quite, this can be a big
issue if some people have hearing problems but apart from that I
am happy with it. I feel like it could’ve been a bit more creative like
adding more sound effects that where funny or just maybe more in
general. Some main aspects that I like the most is the speech or the
script, this worked really well and feel like that is what made most
of that podcast. Some things that I would improve is the sound
effects this is because I feel like this is one aspect that makes the
podcast interesting and if these aren’t interesting then what are
people going to think. The way I would improve this is by looking for
more better sound effects on other websites. This way I can get a
better view of what websites I should use for the future. This could
make the overall sound of my product better.
Audience Appeal
The way that I have appealed to my target audience is by trying to make the
podcast very serious but with also funny sections in there, this should hopefully
be ok for them because who doesn’t like humour. The main bits that would
appeal to my audience is the factual bits, this is because they want to listen to
this stuff so they will enjoy them bits the most.
The main bits they are looking out for is the advice for new people and what you
can use drones for, all this is in the interview podcast. They wont particularity
pay much attention to the intro and outro. Nor the sound effects. The dialogue
in my work is very good in my eyes and ears and is something that the listeners
will be listening out for because like I have said before they want to catch the
most important features in this podcast and they know this wont happen again.
So they will be definitely listening out for that key information.

Feedback
Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
– I enjoyed the vibrant sound effects used for the
opening and ending of the audio
– I also enjoyed the use of humour at the end to keep it
from being monotonus and dull
• What improvements could have been made to
the product? If I had to change anything it would
be re recording certain lines to make sure there
weren’t any stuttering and grammatical mistakes.
Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
• I liked the sound effects at the start
• The dialogue was very good and the last bit was
well worked to make it funny
• What improvements could have been made to
the product? You could some more sound effects
to make it more interesting and detailed
Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
• the main thing I liked about this product was the script,
the script was very good and worked well with the
setting and story.
•
• What improvements could have been made to the
product? A thing that I would improve is the quality of
the sound effects and how many there are. Also the
volume of the dialogue
Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback?
– The things that I agree on is that I could’ve added a lot
more sound effects, this could increase the detail in
my work.
• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback? The thing that I disagree on is the
quality and make sure no one was stuttering.
Every body makes mistakes and we cant stop the
stuttering but I think the quality is very good.
Peer Feedback Summary
The main thing that’s that I would change in my work would be the amount of sound
effects that I put in my work, this will make it more interesting from what I have
heard from people who have listened to it. This could also make it sound better
because who doesn’t like a good sound effect, another thing that I would change
based upon my feedback is maybe the quality and volume of the audio, some people
say the quality and volume of the sound effects and dialogue is too loud and too
quiet, the dialogue being the one too quite and sound effects being to loud, I would
most probably change that around so the dialogue was the loudest thing because if
people cant hear what is being said then how are they meant o get any ideas and
information from this interview podcast.
