This paper presents a novel task distribution methodology called the Minimum Laxity First (MLF) algorithm for heterogeneous reconfigurable computing systems (HRCS) using FPGAs and soft core processors. The MLF algorithm focuses on dynamic scheduling and effective resource utilization for real-time applications, outperforming existing static scheduling approaches in terms of resource efficiency and application execution speed. The paper includes a detailed analysis of application representation as task graphs, scheduling mechanisms, and performance evaluation of the proposed model.
