11 Sundays of Giving
3 Principles of Giving
•Give as we have prospered
1Corinthians 16:2
On the first day of the week let
each one of you lay something
aside, storing up as he may
prosper, that there be no
collections when I come.
3 Principles of Giving
•Give as we have prospered
•Give as we have purposed
2Corinthians 9:7
So let each one give as he
purposes in his heart, not
grudgingly or of necessity; for
God loves a cheerful giver.
3 Principles of Giving
•Give as we have prospered
•Give as we have purposed
•Give cheerfully
2Corinthians 9:7
So let each one give as he
purposes in his heart, not
grudgingly or of necessity; for
God loves a cheerful giver.
Why Now?
Why Now?
• Not because we are in financial trouble!
• Our “new building” is now 20 years old!
• Maintenance has been done and more is
coming!
• Remodeled foyer
• Driveway sealed and restriped
• New carpet in auditorium
• New carpet in small auditorium
• New floors in education building & office
Why Now?
• Missions is always among our priorities!
• Helping those in need is also among our
priorities!
• Because we haven’t lived up to our
responsibilities in this area!
What Do We Need To Do?
• Evaluate if you’re giving as you should.
• If you purposed at the beginning of the
year to give so much per week, have you
done that?
• Evaluate your ability to help us make up
this shortfall.
How Do We Do This?
• We have 11 Sundays remaining in 2018 –
Give a little extra every Sunday.
• November 11 we will have a special day
of giving to make up as much as we can in
that one day. “Balance the Budget” day!
