This document summarizes a research study that analyzed the impact of stock splits on stock returns and liquidity for companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The study examined 14 companies that conducted stock splits in 2017. The results found that stock splits did not have a significant impact on stock liquidity or stock returns in the periods before and after the stock split. Neither individual company returns nor a portfolio of the sample companies experienced significant differences in returns or abnormal returns in the pre- and post-split periods.
