Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome is a congenital vascular malformation characterized by abnormal venous growths, commonly presenting as a port-wine birthmark on a limb. Patients may experience both surface vein malformations, such as varicose veins, and deeper vein issues that increase the risk of serious complications like deep vein thrombosis. Symptoms also include abnormal limb growth, heaviness, mobility issues, and in rare cases, digit fusion or additional digits.
