   111.22. Mathematics, Grade 6.
     (1) Within a well-balanced mathematics
      curriculum, the primary focal points at Grade 6 are
      using ratios to describe direct proportional
      relationships involving number, geometry,
      measurement, probability, and adding and
      subtracting decimals and fractions.
     The student will be able to generate equivalent
      forms of rational numbers including whole
      numbers, fractions, and decimals.

     Steps to Add Fractions w/ Like Denominators
      ▪ 1. Add the numerators of the fractions.
        ▪ The sum of the numerators will be the numerator of your answer
       ▪ 2. The denominator stays the same
     Reduce the answer.

   3 simple steps to subtracting fractions:
     Step 1: Make sure the denominator (bottom number) are
      the same.
     Step 2: Subtract the numerators (top numbers).
           This answer will be the numerator in your final answer.
     Step 3: Put your answer over the same denominator.
     Step 4: Reduce your answer.
