Even if a presenter is the leading authority on a topic, being unprepared can signal the opposite to the audience and cause them to disengage before
the presentation even starts (Koegel, 45). I arrived to the venue early, made sure my presentation was easily accessible, and checked to see if my slides

Voice
The voice is a valuable tool to becoming an exceptional presenter (Koegel, 84). I used my voice as an effective asset throughout my presentation. My
volume was at an effective level throughout the presentation and sounded confident. I also employed inflection in my voice on key points to maintain
audience attention. According to studies, eighty–four percent of the impact you have comes from your voice, not your words. I was very careful to
avoid monotone voice, which significantly shortens the attention span of an audience (Koegel, 84). I also took great care to eliminate any "verbal
graffiti" as Koegel refers to it. Verbal graffiti is any non–essential "filler" words that distract the audience and dilute your impact (Koegel, 87). I

Visual Analysis Essay Examples
For the photograph that I took, I decided to follow Weston's theme and photograph an organic object with interesting features. I needed to find
something with a vivid texture so that the photograph could allow the viewer to almost feel what I could. I searched throughout my room until finally,
I found what I was looking for. It was a shell from the Pacific Ocean that I had brought back with me from Mexico. The shell had off–whites blended
into browns and reds. It also had ridges running from the origin of the shell, to the outside. I found the situation to be somewhat ironic considering that

Each ridge is visible and grows in size as it migrates from the origin to the edge, which shows how perfect and mathematical nature can be at times.
The change in color pattern is also very visible. There is even a small chip in the shell can be seen at the top left corner. Some of the lint of the
peacoat is visible in the picture, but it only gives enough so much as to emphasize the texture of the backdrop. When I went to print the picture, I
edited the picture so that it would look black and white like the rest of Weston's photographs. I also added a little more contrast to the picture so
that the lines of the shell would look a tiny bit sharper because I wanted to make up for not having a 64 aperture. In my opinion, the photograph
holds a very close resemblance to Weston's pictures of shells in which he tried to capture all of their natural beauty. I like the way the photo turned
out, but wish I could have had a better area to take the picture instead of laying on the ground and using books. The picture may have come out a
hair more detailed if I would have had a tripod, but I don't think it made that big of a difference. I believe that I was able to try and replicate Weston's

Visual arguments can be very useful in terms of passing a message along to the public. Common examples of an advertisement would be seen on
TV ads, possibly a poster, billboard, and commercials. An ad that caught my eye is a powerful image portraying verbal abuse. It shows a man
screaming at a woman with a fist coming out of the man's mouth and punching the woman in the face. It basically relays the message of how verbal
abuse is just as bad or hurtful as physical violence and abuse. This ad also attempts to target the emotion of the viewers. Her facial expression is key
in this ad. There are no textual elements but the picture is strong enough to the point that texts is no longer needed. The ad does not put us in the
situation but it shows us how verbal abuse can be extremely hurtful. Collingwood argues that other sentient beings are able to engage with art and get a

Visual Analysis Examples
Browsing through old photographs can re–ignite memories of people, places and times that have slipped into the past, quietly and unnoticed. This
particular photograph captured a moment in time when all six women were gathered together. By paying attention to detail, a keen observer notices not
only the group of women, but can also possibly decipher their relationship to each other as well as unveil the emotional bond among the group.
At first glance, one notices the visual content of the photograph. The women are gathered together in front of a wall. The wall is chartreuse in colour
with light flooding the left side while plunging the far right side into light shadow and is adorned with a muted lilac and gold painting of a pear along

Theme: To describe theme in my video I used numerous pictures and a song that was done by Nirvana in the 90's since that is the main character's
favorite band. For instance, I used the blonde girl rocking the headphones because Nico has blonde hair and loves music. I used the worn out Chuck
Taylor shoes because that's how the character feels, pulled in every direction and tired. The picture of Kurt Cobain displays a lot of things, one of them

In its basic statement this statement on the image is fairly effective. It makes the case in plain language. Although it falls short on the humorous
side. It's a blunt object taken upside of the head. Photographers are more likely to take it seriously, but the photographers who need to know it are

The theme of my painting is the feeling of being lost in thoughts. I choose to paint the image because it describe a girl being confused or lost without
showing her face. When people imagine a girl setting in front of a beautiful view like the sunset behind a mountains, they imagine her face relaxed or
smiling. However, I wanted the audience to think differently when looking at the painting. The position of the girl with her shoulder crouched down to
give the hint that she could be thinking or looking at the water. Adding the ocean with the waves could describe the girl thoughts or it could simply

I choose oil painting as media for my painting because I like colors I could create with it. When I choose the colors of the sunset, I had to make the
main source of light was coming from the sunset. I used yellow orange color on the green mountains to reflect the colors of the sunset to show the
distance of the mountains and to add texture. Adding trees to the mountains added texture to the mountains and made them standout. I choose to
have the color of the water reflected from the sky colors. I also added a hind of green to show reflection of the trees. The waves of the ocean have a
similar light shade of the sunset which created a peaceful view on the eye. With choosing brown as the color of the rocks surrounding the girl
balances the composition of the main rock that the girl sitting on. Also, by having part of the main rock under the water, it draws more attention to
girl. Drawing the girl with warm colors to make her the main focus in the painting makes her the first thing that draw the viewer eye. Color plays a
big part on emotional effect similar to the painting "The Scream" by Edvard Munch. Although, my painting is not showing the face of the girl, I feel
like the choosing of the colors is similar. In The Scream, Edvard Munch uses orange, red, and blue to draw the sunset. Also, he give the water a

visual interpretation. When we first view a painting or a statue or other piece of art, we notice first the visual details – its size, its medium, its color,
and its condition, for example – before we begin to ponder its greater significance. Indeed, these visual clues are just as important as any other
interpretation or meaning of a work, for they allow us to understand just what that deeper meaning is. The expression on a statue's face tells us the

The Stele depicts a simple scene: a seated man and standing woman behind him stare blankly straight ahead. A woman standing on the left looks
down upon them. All of them are ordinary humans. They are not gods or goddesses. They are private people. Their clothing is plain, consisting of
simple robes. It is representational of a regular family mourning the loss of one of its members, a scene that most people, even today, are able to relate
to hundreds or even thousands of years later.
The stele conveys a solemn forlornness that can be seen in the figures' faces. Their mouths are tightly shut; their eyes gaze blankly ahead. The woman
on the left stares ahead with little emotion on her face. The stele does not depict any motion. All of the figures are standing (or sitting) still, in quiet
memorial. This solemnity adds to the emotion of a grave where the stele once stood. There is no real clear answer as to who is being mourned. Are the
seated man and the woman mourning the loss of their daughter, on the left? Or is the woman on the left mourning the loss of a father? The sculpture's
ambiguity also adds to the emotion that it evokes. It might even be appropriate for its purpose. Its function was to mark a gravesite – the site of the
body of someone who has died. Death is one of the most complex parts of life. It is the most ambiguous, for nobody knows for sure what happens in
