  Article Draft I gotthe lucky opportunity to have an exclusive interview with Rebecca Dalglish on her new album, which is coming out early next month. She has given us an exclusive interview about her new album. We had a chat about the album but also about her personal life and I got the chance to get to know her a little bit, which was really insightful and I really enjoyed talking to her. I asked her the following questions: You wrote one of the songs on the album didn’t you? Yes, I did write one of the songs, which featured, in my album What made you decide to do this as you have not done this before? I have always done a little bit of song writing in my spare time but when we were recording this album, I wrote a song which me and my manager thought would suit my album so I recorded it and it went on the album.I really enjoyed doing this and I decided this was something which I would like to more of and in the future I hope to release more songs which I have written as I loved doing it Your single was released last week and when is your album out? st It comes out on the 1 of December Your single reached number one, you must have been really happy with that? Yeah, I really am, I mean I couldn’t have asked for a better result so I was really pleased with that and I hope that the album does alright as well Do you think your single could be Christmas number? That would be amazing but I don’t think that my single will stay number one till then but if it did that would be fantastic Recently there has been a lot written about you in the press and the rumours about your boyfriend are they true? There has been a lot in the media about me and a supposed relationship but he is only my good friend, they press took our relationship and made it out to be something which it is not, the rumours are untrue, he is just a friend of mine Do you have a boyfriend then? At the moment I do not have one but I try to keep as much of my life as private as I can especially my relationships You try to keep a lot of your life out of the public eye, why do you do this? I do because I think it is called your private life for a reason and although I am in the public eye I don’t want my private life all over the media. I think the celebrities who choose to live their life in the public eye it is their chose but that was not a road I wanted to go down. I find it hard to deal with rumours about me in the press so I try to stop them by keeping as much as I can from them Although you try to keep your life private, you can’t always, what is your opinion on the paparazzi? I think that at times they can be a bit much and devious but they keep in the magazine and newspapers so I have to thank them for that, you can’t completely hate the paparazzi as I knew about them before I went into the music industry and it was my choice to do so and many people would want to be in my position but I got the lucky opportunity to be here You are planning a tour aren’t you? Yeah, we have just released some tour dates for next year and the tickets go on sale at the end of this year; we are going all over the country. It is going to be great fun You haven’t toured before so you must be excited? No, I haven’t done a tour before so yeah I am really excited but also nervous about going and I will really miss my family and friends while I am gone but it will be amazing. I can’t wait for it! I hear that you still get bad stage fright? I get stage fright really badly before every performance;I just have to get on and deal with it You perform regularly though so how can you still get stage fright? I don’t think I will ever get over my stage fright, although it has gotten better. I hope that it keeps improving still but I don’t think it will ever really go as I get it really badly. Even though I get stage fright I will always love performing in front of audiences What do you enjoy most about your career in music? It has always been my dream to go into a career in music and it has meant I have been able to have some amazing experiences and meet some great people, which I never would have been able to if I hadn’t been as lucky to get into this industry. I am very thankful that I had such a chance What do you want to do next in your career? I would love to get a number one in America but also I want to be known in everywhere not just England.
