  Artist interview 2 Artist/Band Name: Snowden Whereis the artist located? Galloway, NJ What genre of music do they play? Hip-Hop/R&B Who do they play with? Do they open or do they have bands that open for them? “Mostly, I keep within my small circle of friend, this includes the artist Rosario, 3st and Heathen Hawking. I have not opened for anyone; I have been the main name on a flyer at a showcase my good friend and myself assembled called “Gallowave”” Who is competition? Local and national level. Artists they are currently in competition with and potential? “In my heart, I know everyone is competition, but I have made friends with some of these guys, haha. As he stated, I have a small circle and plan to keep it that way, the majority of these people are friendly competition.” Is this the first album for the artist? If not, how many have they distributed and what were the sales numbers? Find out their sales history. “I have been making music since 2009 under different monikers under KiiD Snowie Space Ranger I have singles, I then became KiiD Snowie and I have four albums. All these albums were released on Soundcloud and physical copies. However, I consider Snowden to be my final form musician wise so, I have one album, that being OddBall. Oddball was my first album to be released on major platforms such as Apple Music, Google Play, Spotify, etc.”

If not, are they using a platform for distribution, like BandCamp or SoundCloud? “You can find Oddball on any streaming service, as for the older stuff you can catch those tunes on KiiD Snowie’s BandCamp!” What is their following like? Do they have audience numbers? If so, where? On social media, an email list, or live events? “I have a very faithful following here around Galloway, New Jersey. It now stretches from California to Florida and beyond to overseas! I appreciate each and every person who listens to my music!” What do they need distributed? Are they looking to distribute a single or an album? “In the year 2019, I will be distributing singles as well as an album. The first of which being my brand-new single “Jump FT. Rosario” dropping very soon!” Are they looking to distribute any physical products or ancillary products? “I am most definitely looking into physical products whether that means discs, or merchandise!” What is the plan for a music video for this upcoming material? “MAN! Let me tell you, we have so many music videos lined up for the year, starting with “Jump” and I cannot wait for everyone to see what I cook up in my head and my friend CJ (Undetermined Shots) helps bring to life!”

To get enough sales for a big distributor to pick them up or something else? “The overall goal is to get my grandmother and mother in a place they deserve to be. I’m not too worried about sales, I’m in music for the passion and the love of it, everything that comes with it is just a bonus or a new hurdle to find a way over.” Who are the decision makers in this project? “I have a small trust circle of my producers, my girlfriend and my three brothers. I know they will keep it 100% with me no matter what! I ultimately make the final decisions when it comes to my music, but their opinions matter so much to me.” Do they have any radio play or press behind them? N/A Describe your number one fan. Age, gender, style of dress, tattoos? Interests. “My number one fan is someone anyone who knows the lyrics that I thought sounded good in my shower! If you have my merchandise, comes to shows and simply support me, so usually young man from 16-23 with urban wear and some tattoos not much.” Do you have an idea on how much you would like to charge for your music? How do you feel about streaming on Spotify? “I only would charge like $10 a CD, or if I made a package deals which I was thinking about $15--$20 this would include a CD and a Shirt. Spotify has helped me get my name out there and gives my fans more access to my music if they want to listen to my album. I personally liked it.”
