This research article evaluates the genotoxicity and antioxidant activities of various culinary plants such as celery, coriander, epazote, parsley, and watercress in Drosophila melanogaster. The study found that these plant extracts generally exhibited low to non-genotoxic effects, with some notable positive results and significant antioxidant properties. Moreover, the extracts were tested in combination with cyclophosphamide and 4-nitroquinoline n-oxide to assess their protective effects against genotoxicity.
