2025 is shaping up to be a breakthrough year for consumer tech, blending AI,
sustainability, personalisation and immersive experiences into our everyday lives.
from smarter devices to more conscious consuption, the future of tech is
inteligent, intuitive and incresingly human-centered.
AI is evolving to provide proactive, tailored solutions accross commerce, beauty,
and healthcare.

Task 2 - The Script
Hello everyone, my name is Khushbu Jogia, and today I’m excited to share with you some key
insights from my presentation on how consumers use technology and the impact it has on their
lives in 2025.
Technology has rapidly evolved and become a central part of our daily routines — whether it’s for
communication, shopping, entertainment, or accessing information. This presentation explores
the changing digital behaviors of consumers and highlights the major trends shaping the future.
Let’s start with internet access.
In 2025, more than 5.6 billion people globally use the internet, with Australia alone having a 97.1%
penetration rate. This growth is largely driven by faster internet speeds and mobile broadband,
making the internet more accessible than ever before.
Task 2 - The Script
When it comes to the devices consumers use to go online, mobile phones dominate the space,
accounting for over 70%of internet usage. Desktops, laptops, and tablets follow, but the clear shift
is toward mobile-first usage, which shows how much we rely on portable, on-the-go access.
Now, let’s talk about how people search for information.
In 2025, consumers are using digital channels not just to browse, but to research products, read
news, plan travel, and find inspiration. Platforms that support quick and relevant search results,
including voice assistants and conversational AI, are seeing a huge rise.
Online shopping behavior has also changed significantly.
Australians are mainly buying clothing and shoes, while globally, we see a surge in purchases of
travel, entertainment, electronics, and food. E-commerce is now an essential part of the consumer
journey.
Task 2 - The Script
Another major trend is the growth in video consumption.
Short-form videos and social media content are increasingly popular, especially on mobile devices.
This shows how important it is for businesses to have engaging video content to connect with
their audiences.
In the second part of the presentation, I explored emerging consumer technology trends in 2025.
Some highlights include:
• AI-driven personalization, which tailors online experiences to each user.
• Next-generation wearables, which do more than track health — they now help improve it in
real time.
• Conversational AI and smart search, which are making it easier to interact with brands and
services.
• Health tech and personalized medical devices, helping people take charge of their wellness at
home.
• Immersive technologies like AR and VR, which are creating new ways to experience products,
education, and entertainment.
• And finally, the localization of technology, where brands are using tech to build more
meaningful, community-focused experiences.
Task 2 - The Script
In summary, consumers in 2025 are more connected, more informed, and expect seamless,
personalized digital experiences. For businesses, this means adapting to mobile-first behaviors,
using AI, creating video content, and being part of the sustainable, tech-driven future.
