  Abandoned cars thatare scattered to connote that the world has been turned up- side down. Random objects are shown with the casts' names next to them. This signifies that the objects are affiliated with the characters that the actors portray. It could also signify & hint the type of characters they are. The sound is low & fast tempo music. This makes the audience feel tense & fearful which is caused by the music & what is shown.

  Different locations are shownto foreshadow the setting in the series. This graveyard could be used to foreshadow a location, but it could also signify death. Names of production team appear. The media material that the TV series is based upon is credited.

  2 families areshown to show that they have a part in the story and to create the narrative enigma of who are these families. There is slow tempo, low & screechy music which makes the audience feel nervous & signifies that there is something. A house is shown to foreshadow the potential setting. Newspapers are shown to create the enigma of what are they talking about. It signifies that the events in the story might have been going for a while. The OTS is in black-&-white to hint that the film is set in the past & it makes the atmosphere more spooky.

The Walking Dead: Fast tempo The Conjuring: Slow tempo Shows the setting(s) The Walking Dead: No characters physically appear. The Conjuring: Some characters appear on old photographs. Both have the title of the film/TV series at the end of the OTS The Walking Dead: OTS is in colour The Conjuring: OTS is in black-&-white. The cast's names appear next to the character or character's belonging to indicate that they portray that character.

  CONCLUSION In a film'sopening title sequence, we expect to see hints & foreshadows of what the story of the film or TV series is going to contain & the title of the film/TV series is expected to appear at the end of the OTS. The cast & production team's names & the media material that film/TV series is based upon should be credited.
