Leadership involves three key skills: creating a vision, gaining commitment to that vision, and monitoring progress toward achieving that vision. A leader must have the creativity to envision where an organization will go in the future. They must also be able to inspire others to commit to that vision. Finally, a leader oversees and manages the implementation of the vision to ensure objectives are met and deadlines are achieved.
