This document discusses resources and assistive technologies that teachers can use to help students with various learning disabilities. It describes how assistive technology can be devices or services that increase students' functional capabilities. Examples of assistive technologies provided include hearing assistive systems for students with hearing problems, audio books and optical character recognition for reading difficulties, Livescribe pens and WordQ software for writing challenges, and strategies for students with ADD/ADHD like developing hand signals, seating away from distractions, and giving instructions one at a time.
